**Singapore International Marathon** is one of Southeast Asia's leading marathons, set against Singapore's spectacular modern skyline. First held in 1982, the event enters a new era in 2026 under the name BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas. The race holds the prestigious World Athletics Gold Label and features four distances: 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, attracting runners from around the world. The course starts near Singapore's famous Formula 1 circuit and takes participants through iconic areas of the city, including Marina Bay, impressive skyscrapers and scenic waterfront roads. The finish line is located inside the National Stadium, providing a spectacular finale. Its mostly flat asphalt course offers opportunities for fast performances, although tropical heat and humidity add a significant challenge even during the early morning hours.
