**Marathon de Bordeaux AG2R LA MONDIALE** is a road-running event held in Bordeaux, one of southwestern France's most celebrated cities. Returning in 2026 after a seven-year break, the event features a marathon, half marathon and 10K. The measured courses pass through the historic city centre and along the Garonne riverfront, attracting both competitive runners and those combining sport with travel. Marathon runners cover 42.195 kilometres on both banks of the Garonne, passing landmarks such as Place de la Bourse, Cité du Vin, Grand Théâtre and the Chaban-Delmas Bridge. The route combines wide boulevards with historic streets in a city famous for its architecture and wine heritage. The course is mostly flat, with a few climbs around the bridges, and finishes beside the iconic Miroir d’eau reflecting pool.
