One of the six World Marathon Majors and one of the most charity-driven races in the world. The course runs through the British capital's most important landmarks - starting in Greenwich Park, crossing Tower Bridge, passing Canary Wharf and the Thames riverside, before finishing near Buckingham Palace on The Mall. More than 50,000 runners from around the world take the start line, and the event is famous for record-breaking charity fundraising totals and passionate crowd support along the entire course. It's one of the six races that count toward the prestigious Six Star Finisher title, as well as one of the eight cities in the European Marathon Classics.
