The TAURON Cracovia Marathon, held since 2002, is Poland's largest spring marathon and one of the country's most beautiful running events. The start and finish are in the very heart of Kraków, on the Main Market Square, and the course leads past the Cloth Hall, Wawel Castle and Skałka, along the Vistula Boulevards, through several districts of the city and into Nowa Huta. The certified course (PZLA, World Athletics, AIMS) has only modest changes in elevation, making it a great place to chase a personal best, while cheering crowds at dozens of support points carry every runner towards the finish. The Sunday 9:00 a.m. marathon is part of a full weekend of running, including an evening 10 km night run through the historic centre, Nordic walking and children's races. Runners from more than 70 countries have taken part, so at the start line you become part of a truly international running family. Crossing the finish line on the Main Market Square is a moment you will remember for a long time.
