**Maratona Cuiabá** is a road-running event held in Cuiabá, the capital of Brazil's Mato Grosso state. The third edition of the marathon takes place on December 19–20, 2026, alongside the fifth edition of the half marathon. The programme features four distances — 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon — as well as two-day challenges combining different races. The event is held in the tropical climate of central-western Brazil. Both the start and finish are located in Cuiabá's industrial district, with the marathon beginning before sunrise to reduce exposure to the region's daytime heat. The race offers runners an opportunity to compete in a lesser-known Brazilian destination, in a region often regarded as a gateway to the Pantanal wetlands.
