The Abalone Marathon de Nantes is one of France's best-known city marathons, held every spring in the capital of the Loire-Atlantique region. The race starts at the famous Machines de l'Île, a futuristic park of Jules Verne-inspired mechanical creatures, and finishes at the Parc des Expositions de la Beaujoire. The fast, FFA-certified course (Silver label) winds through the most beautiful parts of Nantes and serves as a qualifying race for the French Championships. The race weekend also includes a Saturday night 10K, a half marathon and a corporate relay marathon, with cheering zones, live music and misting stations along the route.
